OUR MISSION: TREAT THE CAUSE, DEFEAT THE SYMPTOMS

In functional medicine, illness can stem from an unknown reactivity or inflammation in the body. Determining that root cause of symptoms is central to the mission of functional medicine.

To uncover the truth, we look into multiple contributing factors that other doctors don’t, such as your genes, your environment, and your lifestyle. Your treatment is then developed based on your individual results, instead of a one-size-fits-all plan.

WHAT IS FUNCTIONAL MEDICINE?

Functional medicine is an integrated approach that helps allergy and asthma sufferers find long-term relief and improved overall health by addressing all of the possible primary causes of symptoms.

In functional medicine, we don’t just throw a pill at your problems. Our goal is to identify the root causes of your symptoms (sometimes referred to as reactivity or inflammation).  We look at multiple contributing factors, which may include your genes, your environment, and your lifestyle. Then, we create a plan to address those factors. It’s an ongoing process, but it can have lasting results.

If this sounds like a big commitment that’s because it is. We want to be as transparent as possible about our practice. We are not going to give you some pills and send you on your way.

Meanwhile telling you,

“Everything is going to be fine and you can just keep livin as you’ve been”.

That’s why you're here, because that approach has kept you sick and will continue to do so. We are here to help, but it's going to take some work.

A FUNCTIONAL MEDICINE APPROACH BACKED BY 25 YEARS OF EXPERTISE IN ALLERGY AND ASTHMA TREATMENT

In over 25 years of treatment, we’ve discovered that allergy symptoms are far more than just sniffles and rashes. They are an expression of our bodies in reactive mode, and today’s lifestyles make it nearly impossible to get out of that mode. Our goal is not just to reduce reactions and symptoms — it’s to improve your total quality of life.

Dr. Z and others in this excellent practice are efficient, careful, professional. Their health suggestions of allergy problems have worked well for me. A lifelong 'hay fever' autumn sufferer I tested and started the preventive weekly allergy shots. They had times and locations where I missed a max of 30 minutes of work 1x a week and then frequencies stretch to biweekly. Once completed I was allergy-free for a decade. Excellent practice.

The staff is great. They were extremely nice and caring. Dr z actually listens to what you think and not only a top rated MD but also practices functional medicine. Which treats the body as a whole addressing the underlying issues not just treating the symptoms. I actually look forward to my next visit which has never been a thought of mine conserving a doctors visit.
